Melissa Sutton-Dement

Melissa brings over 11 years of blended experience in homeless, legal and youth services to the team - 7 of these years have been focused on developing data driven solutions for communities working to improve their homeless response system using Clarity Human Services. Prior to joining Bitfocus, she served as the HMIS lead administrator for one of the larger nonprofits in Alameda County, California where she provided fiscal, contract and database oversight, developed HMIS policies/procedures, and led HMIS reporting and training initiatives. She served as a member of the Alameda County’s HMIS Oversight Committee and administered Alameda’s Coordinated Entry Case Conferencing. Melissa holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science with a focus on comparative politics. She also is a Certified HUD Occupancy Specialist and a Certified Paralegal. Melissa’s comprehensive experience in homelessness and other community services situates her to be a great asset to any community she partners with.
