As the VP of Strategy & Impact of Bitfocus, Jim oversees the Clarity Human Services Data Standards and strategic data-related initiatives. With 25+ years of experience in data services, 15+ years focused on HMIS, and nearly a decade of service at Bitfocus, Jim founded the Bitfocus Data Service Department and grew the Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Integrations teams. His unique set of technical skills, leadership, and commitment to our mission allow him to think outside the box and drive innovative HMIS solutions.

As a Senior Front End Software Engineer on the Engineering Team, Tim has over six years of experience as an engineer and project/product manager, developing dozens of human services data integration and implementation projects across multiple software solutions and systems of care. Tim is an expert in data retrieval optimization, API integration, and data visualization, expertly developing dashboards, reports, and other visualizations for stakeholders that identify trends or inconsistencies that will impact their business goals. In addition to overseeing countless new implementation and integration projects, Tim helped build and manage a national data repository, which stores and reports on data from over 600 hundred sources. He holds expertise in numerous programming languages and frameworks. Tim has a passion for learning that drives him to continue to dive into new programming.
